Mbudya Islands, situated in Tanzania's Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve, are protected and uninhabited spots known for their beautiful beaches and clear waters. They're a popular day trip destination for tourists and locals alike, offering activities like snorkelling, trekking, and sunbathing.
These islands are also home to unique wildlife, including endangered coconut crabs and the Metacirolana mbudya, discovered in 1981. Accessible by ferry from Dar es Salaam, they're perfect for snorkelling among colourful fish and coral reefs, or simply relaxing on the sandy shores with stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
