The Humayun's Tomb Site Museum, inaugurated in 2024, is India's first sunken museum, located adjacent to the historic Humayun's Tomb in Delhi. This underground facility spans over 9,000 square meters and is designed to enhance visitors' understanding of the Mughal era and the Nizamuddin area's rich cultural heritage.
The museum features both permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, showcasing over 500 artifacts, many displayed publicly for the first time. A notable highlight is the 270-degree immersive gallery offering virtual tours of the World Heritage site's monuments. The architectural design preserves existing trees and vegetation, ensuring the site's natural beauty remains undisturbed. Visitors can explore the museum from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10 AM and 6 PM.
