Marsh’s Library is one of the few 18th-century libraries that has remained intact and still serves its original purpose. The library features a stunning interior with oak bookcases, marble busts, and a collection of over 25,000 books and manuscripts, many of which date back to the 16th century.
One of the highlights of Marsh's Library is its collection of rare books and manuscripts, including works by Jonathan Swift, William Shakespeare, and Sir Isaac Newton. Visitors can also see the original chained books that were used by students and scholars during the library's early years and soak in the exotic fragrance of old books. The library also hosts a range of events and exhibitions throughout the year, including talks, tours, and concerts. It was founded in 1707.
