Dating back to 350 BC, it is a significant archaeological landmark that provides insight into the Lycian civilization. It is known for its historical significance, architectural beauty, and the stunning views it offers. Reaching it involves a moderate climb up stone steps.
The tomb is an excellent example of Lycian funerary architecture, characterized by its temple-like façade with Ionian columns and intricate carvings. It has been designed in Ionian style and in the middle of the left column, ‘Amyntou tou Ermagiou’ has been written in the 4th century which translates to ‘Amyntas, son of Hermagios’. It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, especially during the hotter months.
