Ganesh Tok is quite small, and you need to climb a staircase to reach the upper levels where the viewing area is situated. Mid-way of the stairs, you will be required to take your shoes off. The inner sanctum of the temple is so small that the devotees are required to crawl on all fours to reach Lord Ganpati. There is a viewing lounge with glass panels and a balcony to provide better views. From the balcony, you can view the snow-covered mountains including Kanchenjunga and the rolling hills.

There is a gift shop situated in the complex which offers a variety of colourful and handmade items to the tourists within their budget. Some more gift shops are located just outside Ganesh Tok where you can easily bargain. There is also a designated parking area for tourists. A few steps away from the gift shop is a café where you can relish tea, coffee, veg momos, noodles, paranthas, cold drinks bottled water and toast & omelette all at decent and affordable prices.

Though Ganesh Tok can be visited throughout the year, the temperature in December-February is very chilly. The monsoon season too should be avoided due to massive landslides.
