Glasgow Women's Library is the only recognized museum in the UK that celebrates women's lives, histories, and achievements. It houses a lending library, archive collections, and modern & historical artifacts related to women's achievements.
It also hosts innovative public events & learning programs. Unlike an ordinary library, Glasgow Women’s Library is the only resource of its kind in the whole of Scotland and a real national treasure. The library has a wonderful collection of materials about, by, and for women, including archive materials dedicated to the lives & achievements of women. Glasgow Women’s Library is a cordial & pleasant institution that is free & open to all. It holds a full program of events and activities, including classes & workshops throughout the year, and offers venue hires as well, which makes it quite busy occasionally. Some of the events and courses at the library are women-only. Also, you can become a member of the library at no cost to borrow books & get monthly updates about the events.
