Located on the Argyle Street in Glasgow, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is the most visited museum in United Kingdom leaving aside London. It is situated on the banks of River Kelvin, adjacent to the Kelvingrove Park.
One of the most popular museums in Scotland, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum features 22 themed state of the art galleries that display a wide range of objects. The collections in the museum are extensive and very significant internationally. There are sections of natural history, art from various periods of history, arms and armour and much more. The masterpiece of Salvador Dali, 'Christ of St John of the Cross' is the most famous painting on display. There is also one Spitfire plane that hangs from the ceiling of the west court.
