The Temple of Ammon Zeus is one of the most popular and important temples located in the Kallithea region of Halkidiki. It is well-organized, and it dates back to 400 BC. There is an excavated archaeological park whose ruins were first discovered in the 1960s. There is also a sanctuary of Dionysus and a bathhouse, dating back to 1000 BC and 400 AD, respectively.
The temple of Zeus Ammon was discovered in the excavation of 1969-70 with an inscription that connected the temple to the god.
