With pleasant summers and chilling winters, Harsil is situated 72 kilometers ahead of Uttarkashi on the Uttarkashi-Gangotri Road, making it an accessible yet secluded destination. - Carry extra food and supplies with you, facilities are not present at proper intervals.
- Winters are freezing cold but beautiful at the same time, so carry heavy woolens if travelling during th (Read More)e season.

Its better than Manali.situated near river ganga.peacefull and cold.few hotels and food is good.better to visit when Yatra starts.dangerous to go in rainy season.

Some beautiful pics of harsil .there is a helipad just near harsil.visited once but want to go one more time.take winter clothes because it gets very cold at night.
