Historically, the Hoi An Silk Village was home to many craftspeople who lived solely via silkworm farming and creating its products. Although it was a principal trading center of the Maritime Silk Route, the production base was closed 100 years ago. However, its doors reopened to public tours seven years ago to immortalize handcrafted textiles and sericulture. Alongside silk production workshops are traditional house structures, two restaurants, a 4-star luxury resort, textile showrooms, and tailors on-premises.
