Occupying a traditional Vietnamese timber house built in 1858, the Museum of Trade Ceramics showcases 430 ceramic artefacts in the centre of the Ancient Town. These artefacts are testimony of the ceramic trade from the 8th to the 18th centuries. One can learn about Hoi An’s origins and history related to its historical trade as a port town and relationships with China, India, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.
