Dr Sun Yat Sen Museum in Castle Road, Hong Kong is dedicated to the great revolutionary Dr Sun Yat Sen, the founder of the Republic of China. He guided the metropolitan out of thousand years of monarchic rule and transformed it into a republic. Constructed in a colonial Greek style, this museum is one of the oldest in Hong Kong. The museum throws light on the revolutionary movements of Hong Kong with an emphasis on Dr Sun Yat Sen through pictures and screening along with holding temporary and permanent exhibitions.
Dr Sun Yat Sen’s contribution in overthrowing the Qing Dynasty and setting up his own revolutionary ideas is globally recognized, and hence, the museum has grown to become one of the greatest tourist attractions in Central Hong Kong. Housed at the Kong Tom Hall, Dr Sun Yat Sen Museum is the storehouse of many artefacts and relics of Dr Sun. With a refined interior, furnishings and glass work, this museum has developed both as a historical and architectural site.
