Situated in the southern part of the Hong Kong Park in Victoria Peak, the Edward Youde Aviary is one of the largest aviaries in Southeast Asia. spread across 3000 square kilometres, it is named after Edward Youde, the governor of Hong Kong from 1982 to 1986. This aviary has a walk through system and features over 600 birds of near about 80 different species which are indigenous to Southeast Asia, Indonesia and New Guinea.
The Edward Youde Aviary houses some of the ground dwelling birds like pheasants, partridges, pigeons and thrushes along with displaying different type eggs. It is one of the must visit place in the city, especially for bird lovers and for people who are looking for some peaceful time in the bustling city.
