Situated on the Amer Road in Jaipur, Kanak Ghati is a beautiful sprawling park that is sprinkled with trees and dotted with lakes. The peaceful and serene park was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh around 280 years ago and it offers the much needed respite from the chaos and din of the city. Considered to be the green lung of the Pink City, the park has several attractions but the highlights are the life sized sculptures of the Hindu gods Krishna and Radha.
Kanak Ghati resembles God Krishna’s abode in Vrindavan. There are artificial waterfalls and ponds, swings and several benches for you to relax. Other than that, there is a scene from Hindu mythology where several sculpted statues of girls (Gopiyan) are bathing in a pond while Lord Krishna watches from a tree perched above.
