Vereenigde Oost Indische Compagnie (VOC) Galangan is an old shipyard in Batavia. This shipyard served as an important commercial link for the Dutch during the VOC era. The shipyard originally had four faces but now it has two main buildings which have Chinese cafe and restaurant. Many other events like weddings and birthdays occasionally happen here as well.
VOC Galangan is an interesting place where one can catch a glimpse of the 18th Century Dutch shipyards and warehouses that stood on the side. The main building dates back to the year 1628, overlooking is a place with greenery and shade which makes for a nice place to wander or unwind.
