The best time to visit Jefferson City is from mid- April to mid-June, when the climate is soothing with warm temperatures hovering the city. This is the ideal time to tour the historic sites of the city or take a family vacation in Jefferson City’s Parks. The golf courses and the softball field are dry enough to engage in some sports fun and so are the nature trails waiting to be discovered by the eco-freaks. This is also the peak season when Jefferson City receives the highest number of guests and the hotel prices are at an all-time high.
The following months of September and October receive heavy rainfall and are not recommended for touristy activities.
While November to March is fairly colder months of the year, one can visit the city if they wish to avoid the tourist crowd. Since the city does not receive significant rainfall, this time can be ideal if one enjoys cold weather and is looking to explore the city’s history and culture in a quieter and calmer environment.
