Tashijong, Kangra Overview
Tashijong is located roughly 5 km west of Baijnath and around 50 km from Kangra town towards Mandi. This small village is famous as it is home to a small community of Drukpa Kagyud monks and refugees.
The Tashijong Gompa located here is quite impressive and it attracts a lot of people interested in Buddhism. Apart from the Gompa, most of the life revolves around carpet making, thangka painting and woodcarving.
