Hiking in Krabi, Krabi Overview

Krabi is dotted with many limestone cliffs covered in lush green forests, making it an ideal hiking and trekking location. The trails in Krabi offer excellent viewpoints to explore and the opportunity to spot tropical flora and fauna up close. Khao Ngon Nak, or Dragon Crest Trail, is the most rewarding and also the most Instagrammed trail. AnTrek Jungle Hiking is another fun-filled experience through endemic mangrove plantations.

Other popular trails are Koh Phi Phi Island Viewpoint, Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, Bang Kram Wildlife Sanctuary, Tiger Cave Temple Peak, Ao Nang Monkey Trail, Mu Ko Lanta Nature Trail, Railay Viewpoint, and Bat Cave on West Phra Nang Beach. Each trail has its unique thrill to offer. Dragon Crest Trail is quite challenging and ends in the iconic rocky outcrop at the summit that offers a 360-degree view of the island. Bang Kram National Park, meanwhile, is meant for birdwatching and dripping in emerald-colored pools. The Khao Phanom Bencha trail takes you to the topmost point in Krabi and features the 300 m tall Huay Toh waterfall. The Monkey Trail, on the other hand, is short, and the only inconvenience is the large population of monkeys that inhabit the route. It leads to the idyllic Pai Plong Beach. The trek to Tiger Cave Temple Peak is more spiritual than adventurous, as you climb 1260 steps to get to the shrine at the top. You are rewarded with an enormous golden statue of Buddha and a spectacular view of dense canopies beneath.
