1. Huay Tho Waterfall

Part of the Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, the Huay Tho waterfall is a five-tiered cascading waterfall at its heart. The waterfall is a hub of tourist activities with swimming pools at each tier and hiking during the summer months. You can also choose to sunbathe on the little beach at the pool's base. Easily accessible from the town of Krabi by Eco Bicycle Tours, the best time to visit is between August and October.

2. Khlong Chak Waterfall

Nestled within a dense rainforest, the Khlong Chak waterfall is a seasonal waterfall which is best visited during the rainy months from May to September. Located on the island of Koh Lanta, this waterfall can be reached via a hike from Khlong Chak beach. The hike takes you through lush vegetation, tall canopies of the evergreen trees and the occasional spotting of the region's wildlife. About two kilometres in distance, the hike should take about 30 to 40 minutes in total.

Tip - The caves near the falls are nests for bats and it is advisable to be wary of them while heading to Khlong Chak waterfalls.

3. Ron Khlong Thom Waterfall - Hot Spring Waterfall

The Ron Khlong Thom waterfall isn't exactly what you would expect from a typical waterfall as it isn't that tall. Located about 70 kilometres from Krabi Town, in Thung Teao Forest Natural Park near the famous Emerald Pool, this waterfall consists of many layers of tiny cascades. The tiny pools at each layer of the waterfall act as hot springs where you can sit and relax. These hot springs average water temperatures of around 40-45 degrees and are known to have healing minerals.

4. Roi Chan Phan Wang Waterfall

Although not a tall waterfall, the Roi Chan Phan Wang Waterfall is a multi-tiered waterfall which gives it a unique charm. The limestone rocks over which the waterfall flows shine brightly in the sunlight, giving it an alluring charm. The waterfall's name loosely translates to 'Hundred levels, Thousand Palaces' alluding to its many tiers and the beautiful nature of each cascading pool.

5. Ton Chong Fah Waterfall

Ton Chong Fah waterfall is located in Khao Lak, east of Chong Fah Beach. A popular tourist attraction among the waterfalls in Krabi, this waterfall runs throughout the year with the water current being more intense during the rainy season. Whilst here, you can climb up five levels, where each level houses a different cascade of the waterfall. A hip-deep pool at the second level is where you and your kids can indulge in some swimming. There is also a lovely fish spa available here.

6. Khlong Haeng Waterfall

One of the tallest waterfalls in Krabi, the Khlong Haeng Waterfall measures up to 500 metres in height. The water that gushes forth from the Khlong Haeng Waterfall originates in a small spring in Krabi's tallest mountain, Theo Bencha Peak. Snugly sat withing Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, the falls have a distinctly untouched and pristine feel to it.

7. Than Bok Khorani

Located within the park which is its namesake, the Than Bok Khorani waterfall is quite beautiful due to it being a shade of emerald green. The waterfall can be reached via a short and easy hike from the visitor's centre within the park. The pond here fed by the waterfall is quite deep.

8. Hin Phoeng Waterfall

Another tall waterfall in Krabi, the Hin Phoeng Waterfall, is located within Khao Yai National Park. A three-layered waterfall, it falls from a height of 800 meters with a large pool located at its foot. To get to the waterfall, you will have to walk about 400 meters around the hill from the lower basin.

9. Huai Sa De Waterfall

Like some other waterfalls in Krabi, the Huai Sa De Waterfall is located within Khao Phanom Bencha National Park. This waterfall is small compared to some and is located just over a kilometre from the Park's main office. It is a great spot to click some photographs.
