Jeruk Manis is an enchanting waterfall that trickles down the southern slopes of Mount Rinjani. The captivating 40-meter-high waterfall flows into a rocky river. On either side, it lies a thick growth of rainforest vegetation.
In 1983, the people, Pak Muis, belonging to a nearby village, discovered the Jeruk Manis waterfall. An extremely calm place to hang around for the day, Jeruk Manis Waterfall is not only a must-visit for all nature lovers but others as well who look forward to some peace and solace away from their monotonous and fast-paced lives. The literal meaning of the word 'Jeruk Manis', is 'Sweet Lime' in the Indonesian language. Reflecting it's an apt name, Jeruk Manis is a cool, calm, and green place - in fact, one may even call it secluded, to the extent that even the sun’s rays don’t reach here.
