Located at the base of Mount Rinjani amid Lombok’s densest rainforest in Senaru town, Sendang Gile paints a serene picture with a majestic two-tier cascade. The plunge pool is perfect for a quick dip. Sendang Gile Waterfall is covered together with its sister fall, Tiu Kelep Waterfall, located another 30 minutes away.
The hike down to the entry point for the waterfall goes through Senaru Village. Another 10-minute hike will take you from the ticket counter to the waterfall, the last stretch secured with a concrete staircase. You will also have to cross a muddy river on the way, so dress accordingly. The streams that Sendang Gile Waterfall forms after falling are dotted with numerous stones. You should visit in the early morning to avoid heavy crowds.
