Loni, a surprisingly less known town in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is a place of religious significance. The historical site is connected to many Hindu mythological stories. There are also many significant temples around the city.

The Loni Fort being another attraction in the city is believed to have been the place where Lord Ram's brother, Shathruguna killed the evil demon Lavansura. The fort which is ruins today is believed to have been because of the invasion of Mohammed Shah in the 18th century. There are also three other important places of significance - Kharanji Bagh, Uldipur and Ranap which are believed to be 500 years old.

Apart from the spiritual sites, there is also the Lal Bagh Ashram and IdiraPuri Gurudwara. Modernising the town, there are classic malls and theatres. Marking the popularity of the town is the world's largest LPG pipeline which is 1.270 kilometers long and is a definite place of visit. Also, on nature's side, there is the April Park which is filled with greenery. Tronica City is one of the city's fast developing places which is a must-visit.

The remains of the three famous orchards Uldipur, Ranap and Kharanji Bagh are some prominent places to visit. Katu Shyam Baba Mandir, Loni Hanuman Mandir and Shiv Mandir are some places of holy importance in the city. Shiv Temple - At a distance of 13 kilometres from central Loni is the Shiv Temple. A massive flight of stairs reaches the sanctum. History of Loni

Most popularly known for its significance in mythology and history, it is a place where great rulers and essential figures from Hindu epics have spent their time. The name of the city derived from the historic legend King Lonnkaran who ruled this area and named his territory after his name. During the 12th century, Prithviraj Chauhan ruled the town. Even to this date, certain places of his fortification are significant places of visit in Loni. During the Mughal era, Zinat Mahal, the wife of Bahadur Shah Zafar built the three famous orchards. They are believed to be over 500 years old and are a major historical attraction in the city.
