Possibly one of the famous lakes on TV, the Franklin Canyon Reservoir, also dubbed the Upper Franklin Canyon Reservoir, this reservoir located within the Franklin Canyon Park is just south of California, right in the backyard of the famous Beverly Hills of Los Angeles. The park and reservoir here have been used for many famous scenes in Hollywood movies & TV shows, with its close proximity to the studios.
The trails around the reservoir are famous for hikes and as also the film location for the opening credits of the Andy Griffith Show. The loop around gives a slice of history for TV buffs.
