With an history of over a hundred and fifty years, Historic Botanical Garden of The Conception with an English landscape is located in the northern side of the city. It is one of those few gardens with subtropical plants in Europe and fifty thousand plants.

Created by Marquis and Marchioness of Loring in 1855, La Concepcion Jardin Botanico is the botanical garden filled with Mediterranean, sub tropical and tropical flora. The plant species in the garden are collected from all over the world. Since it is a collection of different gardens, it offers a spectacular diversity to the visitors. There are various parts in which the garden is divided. Covering over three hectares is the Historical Gardens filled with unusual species, exotic flowers and various tropical plants. There are 23 hectares of new gardens surrounding this region. A floral pathway Hibiscus Avenue connects to the northern end of the garden. There are more than 50 species of flora in the Gonzalez Andreu Garden. There are various thematic walking routes for all the visitors which aim at highlighting special features.
