Dedicated to the gem of Malaga, the famous artist Pablo Picasso, the Picasso House Museum is where he was born in 1881. Located in the Old Town, it is a five-storeyed building situated in Plaza de la Merced and displays over 200 great masterpieces of the artist.
The museum displays 233 paintings painted by the famous artist and is very popular among lovers of modern art. The collection in the museum displays the entire span of Picasso's life as well as his career. Almost all his artworks between 1892 and 1972 are displayed in the museum, and it also proves how versatile Picasso was in different forms of creativity. He introduced different new styles in his paintings like Cubism. The collection highlights various themes like still life paintings, portraits, landscapes and nudes. The best of the lot include the Mother and Child, Acrobat, Woman with Raised Arms, Jacqueline Seated, Still Life with Skull and Three Sea Urchins, Mosketeer with a Sword and Bather.
