Fort St Elmo is snuggled in Valletta and offers stunning views of the Grand Harbour. It houses a valuable collection of relics, military paraphernalia, and exposure to the rich history of Malta. It also houses the National War museum.

Referred to as the star Fort of Malta, Fort St. Elmo is an architectural marvel that is known for its starring role during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. Fort St Elmo is named after the patron saint of sailors. Here, the visitors can have a bifold experience. The fort also houses the stunning National War Museum, which hosts a splendid collection of artifacts dating back to primitive times. The most noteworthy artifacts include the military armor of the Order of St John and the Ottoman Turks, Roosevelt’s Jeep-Husky, the Gloster Sea Gladiator N5520 FAITH, and Malta’s Gallantry award - the George Cross. The museum duly preserves the military history & heritage of Malta through artifacts & exhibits. Fort St Elmo was originally a war machine constructed in a critical location to confront and hold back the forbidding Ottoman attacks. Now, its strategic position offers sweeping views of the harbors and the neighboring towns.
