Mara Triangle, Masai Mara Overview

Mara Triangle is a national reserve towards the southwestern end of Masai Mara National Reserve with riverine forests and beautiful grasslands. Separated from the rest of the reserve by Mara River, it has one of the highest densities of wildlife in the world and is a common spot for viewing the Big Five game animals, cheetahs and jackals.

Mara Triangle is one of the best spots to witness The Great Migration since it is the entry and exit point for crossing many herds of animals. Managed by the Mara Conservancy, there is permanent lodging within the area at either Mara Serena or Little Governors. It also has a launching point for hot-air balloons, with several public and private campsites located along the edge of the Triangle.
