Pérez Art Museum Miami, Miami Overview
Formerly known as the Miami Art Museum, the Pérez Art Museum comes within the Museum Park and is a must-visit place for lovers of art. The relocation of the museum took place in 2013 and before that, the museum has boasted its huge collection of artworks since 1984. The museum currently has around 3000 art pieces with traces of Miami’s culture and influences of the African, Caribbean and Latin American heritage and entertains a huge amount of visitors each year.
The building is beautifully designed by Herzog & de Meuron that holds all the artworks and various exhibits keep taking place throughout the year. Aside from the three-storey main building, you can also enjoy admiring sculptures at the native hammock gardens or even grab a bite at the eatery on-site.
