Western Suburbs

Western Suburbs Tourism

The western precinct of Mumbai City that starts from Borivali in the North to Bandra in South. Since Bandra and Andheri are large too large regions to be included in Western Suburbs of Mumbai, hence they are colloquially considered as individual neighbourhoods. The Western Suburban Mumbai includes Borivali, Dahisar, Goregaon, Jogeshwari, Juhu, Kandivali, Khar, Malad, Santacruz and Vile Parle. The Western Suburbs have a cosmopolitan population and have been increasing with a daily settlement of people from all over the country.

With a series of beaches on its coastline, the western suburbs of Mumbai are thronged by people on the weekends. With plenty of attractions for weekends like the Essel World for families, film city for movie buffs, Kanheri Caves for History enthusiasts, Sanjay Gandhi National Park and BMC Forest Theme Garden that excites people interested in wildlife and nature, and beaches like Aksa, Marve, Gorai and Juhu, add to the beauty of the Mumbai City.

The nightlife in Western Suburbs is concentrated in Linking Road, Lokhandwala and Malad with a long list of places like Firangi Pani, Mumbai Times Cafe, Poison, Zenzi, etc. The food in the Western Suburbs, however, is a vastly spread scenario. The famous food chains cover all the areas in Mumbai and there is no such cuisine that is not available in the Suburbs of Mumbai. Transport in the Western Suburbs is chaos and there are regular traffic jams in certain places that never seem to end. Taking the local train is the most preferred option around this area.
