2. Delhi to Mussoorie via Dehradun - By Train
While the hill station of Mussoorie does not have a railway station of its own, the Dehradun Railway Station which is 32 kilometres away connects to almost all parts of India. Cabs are the best way to travel this distance from the station to Mussoori and they are available in plenty and at low costs. From Delhi, there are approximately 18 trains that ply to Dehradun weekly. These trains ply from Delhi Stations such as Old Delhi Station, Hazrat Nizammudin Station and New Delhi Station. The fastest of these trains is the Bandra Terminus- Haridwar SF Express which takes 4 hours and 55 minutes and leaves from Delhi at 10:55 AM and reaches Dehradun at 3:50 PM. Out of the eighteen trains, seven trains run from Delhi to Dehradun Railway Station on a daily.

3. Delhi to Mussoorie by Car
The roads from Delhi to Mussoorie are well paved and have all the amenities that will make the journey as pleasant as possible. The journey itself is also not extremely long, which makes travelling and covering the 279 kilometre distance easier as well. There are four possible routes that you can take when travelling from Delhi to Mussoorie.
The Routes That Can Be Taken
Route 1Delhi- Ghaziabad- Modinagar- Meerut- Muzaffarnagar- Roorkee- Dehradun- Mussoorie
This is considered as the quickest and most efficient route. By following these roads not only will you avoid traffic but also reach your destination in just 5 and a half hours.
Route 2Delhi- Ghaziabad- Hapur- Meerut- Muzaffarnagar- Roorkee- Dehradun- Mussoorie
While this route is extremely similar to the first one, it does take slightly longer to reach Mussoorie from Delhi.
Route 3Delhi- Sonipat- Baraut- Meerut- Muzaffarnagar- Roorkee- Dehradun- Mussoorie
The third route will take you through small towns and show you the true sight of rural villages which might be an experience and learning chance in itself. However, the roads may be a little shaky from time to time.
Route 4Delhi- Sonipat- Panipat- Shamli- Muzaffarnagar- Roorkee- Dehradun- Mussoorie
This route is again similar to the third one in some places but is much better when it comes to road conditions and is a shorter distance away as well.
Eating Options Along the Way
On all four of these routes, the food options are plenty, and you will never feel wanting. You can venture into any of the cities to eat local food or stopover for a while. But if getting stuck in the city traffic is not something you wish for, there are several options along the highway including Café Coffee Day, Mc Donalds, Dominoes, Haldirams, Cheetals and Dhabas that serve all kinds of Indian food, Punjabi being a favourite.
4. Delhi to Mussoorie via Dehradun - By Flight
The aerial distance from Delhi to the quaint hill station of Mussoorie is approximately 219 kilometres. However, this distance cannot be travelled entirely by air as Mussoorie does not have an airport of its own. The closest national airport to Mussoorie is the Jolly Grant Airport or the Dehradun Airport. This airport is around 24 to 30 kilometres away from the city of Dehradun but is well connected to it by road.
Flights from Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport take just 55 minutes to reach, making this the timeliest way to travel to Mussoorie. Individuals can venture into the city of Dehradun or take a cab or bus from the airport itself to reach Mussoorie, which is just another 50 minutes away.
