Socrates Sculpture Park is the best park in New York City to enjoy art. It is situated in the neighborhood of Astoria, Queens in New York City.
The park is famous for its sculptures and breathtaking views of Manhattan. It has showcased art pieces by many artists including Vito Acconci, Merle Temkin, Sanford Biggers, and Agnes Denes. The park has four main exhibitions throughout the year, namely The Spring/Summer Exhibition, The Socrates Annual fellowship and exhibition, Folly/Function, which is a design-build competition in partnership with The Architectural League of New York, and The Broadway Billboard series. The Outdoor Cinema International Film Festival takes place every Wednesday during the months of July and August and showcases international films.
Socrates Sculpture Park also has great food to offer. Botte Bar has delicious Italian food and Amma is great for authentic Indian food. The area also has a lot of fast-food chains like Subway and McDonald's.
