Built in 1937, The Guggenheim or Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum from Upper East Side, Manhattan boasts of expanding art collections of Post-impressionist, Impressionist, Contemporary and early Modern genre.
The exhibitions are organized throughout the year. Open from Thursday to Monday from 11 AM till 6 PM except on Thanksgiving and Christmas, the admission cost is USD 25 for adults, USD 18 for seniors, disabled visitors and students and free for kids below twelve. Apart from digital resources and online activities, you will enjoy virtual group tours and a collection of more than 1700 artworks from nearly 8000 by over 625 artists. Reflecting diversity, breadth and tenor, the selected artworks include Man With Crossed Arms by Paul Cezanne, Houses in Paris by Juan Gris, Brooklyn Bridge by Albert Gleizes etc. the online collection also features artworks of Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Besides scholarship initiatives, the museum also encourages music, dance and theatrical performances related to video, film and installation.
