90% of the 6000 ton of gold stored in the vault is owned by other countries, a small part of which is shown in the tour. The tour's host tells you about the working and architecture of the vault and its history and you would get a bag of shredded money at the end of the tour as a souvenir. In the one hour long tour not only you would get a look at thousands of gold bars (each worth 0.5 million) in the vault but also the working and handling of gold bars by workers (wearing magnesium shoe covers to protect their feet) and also the world most expensive coin ( $7 million) in an encased glass.
