You can also go camping here in the paid jungle and natural camps, which are a unique experience of the forest in its pure natural form. Staying in camps is always fun, and thus the sanctuary provides several types of camping schemes. These are. 

1. Tented Niche
This stay offers accommodation in luxurious Swiss tents that are spacious for a family to live in. Moreover, the washroom is attached hence your privacy is kept under consideration. The food is served at Bhojanasaala. Staying here gives you a self-learning experience, and you enjoy every bit of it. This package also includes meals, bamboo rafting, trekking, shopping, jungle safari in sanctuary's vehicle, tribal symphony, and a naturalist guide.

2. Honey Comb (A/C)
This stay is in old English Bungalows that are fully Air Conditioned. They have a common dining place which is constructed of thatched bamboo leaves. This camp gives you access to teak plantations and Parambikulam reservoir. Each Bungalow has a bathroom attached which has hot running water as well. It includes Jungle Safari in your own vehicle, bamboo rafting, trekking, bird watching, tribal symphony.

3. Treetop hut, Parambikulam
Staying above the trees and catching a view of teak plantations and beautiful birds is indeed a memorable experience. The chirping of bird will put a halt to everything that would be going into your mind. It is situated at a walking distance from the honeycomb stays. Usually, you'll find yourself gathered either by the group of elephants or by the herd of deer. The package includes- meals, jungle safari in your own vehicle, bamboo rafting, trekking, bird-watching, and tribal symphony.

Kannimara teak is not only the most massive living teak here in the sanctuary but in the world. It has a height of 39.98 m and circumference of 7.02 m. During 1994-95 it has also been awarded the Maha Virksha Puraskar. A local tribe here believes that when someone tried cutting this tree, blood spurted out from the place where the cut was made. Since then it is worshipped as the "Virgin Tree" by the Parambikulam's tribal people.

The Modern Nature Interpretation Centre here is a unique facility to learn about the biodiversity hotspots in the world. It is finely equipped with audio-visual facilities. You will find interactive three-dimensional models of biodiversity hotspots; the Western Ghat, Kerala and Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary. It has sessions of three series of modern quiz machine which evaluates your wildlife knowledge. Furthermore, there is a tiger cell having an abundance of information about the charismatic cat. In the audiovisual section, you may feel the soothing sounds of the forest and its wildlife. The medicinal plants' part takes you into the beautiful world of endangered plant species.

1. Do not try and hurt the sentiments of animals you cross by.
2. Two or three-wheeler vehicles are not allowed inside the sanctuary.
3. Do not litter.
4. If travelling with kids pay keen attention to there whereabouts.

Parambikulam has only three bus trips (to and fro) on a daily basis. Out of these, two are TNSTC buses which start from Pollachi starting at 6:15 AM and 3:15 PM and one is KSRTC bus starting from Palakkad.
