Munda Pahad Beach, located near Chidiya Tapu in the Andaman Islands, offers an easily accessible trek, making it perfect for both beginners and nature enthusiasts. Approximately 30 km from Port Blair, a one-hour cab ride takes you to Chidiya Tapu, the starting point of the trek. Open from 10 am to 5 pm, this trek provides stunning views of the azure sea, and though swimming is not allowed due to the presence of alligators, the trek itself is a mesmerizing experience.
Starting in the early afternoon, the well-defined trail requires no guide, winding through captivating landscapes. The trek takes around 45 minutes to reach its peak, providing panoramic views of the endless sea. The final point, located at the island's southernmost end, unveils a breathtaking panorama where the sea seems to merge from three sides. While rocks barricade some areas, you can still explore and witness the vastness of the sea. The trek concludes with a return to the beach for a sunset experience, despite the sunset being less spectacular than the journey itself. The Munda Pahad trek stands out as one of the best activities in Port Blair, offering a memorable exploration of Andaman's natural beauty.
