Hidden in the jungle near Adjuntas, El Ataud also known as Charco El Ataúd is one of the most visited waterfalls in Puerto Rico by youngsters as a weekend getaway. The trail that leads to the top of the falls is a bit slippery and that's why is not recommended for children.
The waterfall is popular for its cliff jumps as well as for swimming in its clear waters. The main thing to do at El Ataud is to jump from 30 to 40 feet cliffs of the waterfall. The route by the upstreams also has a series of small waterfalls and is covered by lush green trees.
