The Museo de Arte de Ponce resides in almost 4,500 objects and works of art, spanning about 3,000 years. Europe, Africa and America are three regions that have heavily shaped Puerto Rico’s past. According to the official website, several artworks from the museum were exhibited internationally before the museum’s reopening in 2010. Visitors can look at pieces from the permanent collection, and the temporary exhibits as well as a library and educational initiatives. Most of the classical artworks date back to the 17th century.
