Oothumalai Hill has no fixed visitation hours. It is open to all on all days of the year. There is no entry fee charged. It is recommended to spend 3-4 hours to soak in the complete experience.

The best time to visit Oothumalai Hill would be during any of the religious festivals which are celebrated pompously in the temples over here. The view from the hill is spectacular, and the cool breeze adds to the pleasant atmosphere.
