Constructed as the humble abode for the civic leader - George W Marston & his wife, Anna Gunn Marston, in 1905 in the northwest corner of Balboa Park, the Marston House Museum & Gardens is a historic landmark in San Diego. The museum houses some of their personal artifacts, furniture, paintings, and many of the family’s original items.
Outside, you’ll find the gardens spread around the house on a 5-acre land filled with rolling lawns, a beautiful formal English Romantic-Style garden with California influences, canyon pathways covered by tall pine, eucalyptus and oak trees on either side. Make a visit by availing any of the 5 guided tours of the house.
