The Mission Beach boardwalk, also called Ocean-front Boardwalk is a concrete pedestrian route or walkway from North Pacific Beach to South Mission Beach. This walkway is around three and a half miles long. The construction of the boardwalk began in 1925 that accorded with the construction of the Mission Beach Amusement Center (now Belmont park). The boardwalk connects the two oceanfront communities north of downtown San Diego.
Here, people of all ages enjoy miles of paved boardwalk. Some of them carry surfboards or do roller-skating through the crowds, while some enjoy casual biking around the way with tides smashing along the coastline. The speed is delimited to eight miles per hour. Though this boardwalk does not embrace rides similar to an amusement park, yet it has the lively vibes of an arcade. It features several shops, casual outdoor restaurants & cafes, houses, apartments, Belmont amusement park, and also different street performers entertaining the crowd. The parking area for this boardwalk and restrooms are available for visitors at the southern end, at a park in Mission Beach, N. Jetty Road.
