Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, San Diego Overview
Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is an art museum that is engaged in the collection, preservation, exhibitions, evaluations of artworks from the 1950s to today so far. It is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1941. MCASD offers access to the finest art at two exemplary locations in San Diego, i.e., the La Jolla and downtown location of Santa Fe Depot. It has a collection of around 5,000 artifacts.
It offers an unparalleled variation of experiences for the society by manifesting an internally recognized collection and active arrangements of exhibitions and public programs. The paid entry is valid for seven days.
You can also join MCASD’s Gallery Educators for public tours that are free with admission at MCASD Downtown on Sat and Sun at 2:00 P.M. Public tours are also organized at 5:30 P.M. and 6:45 PM ( no reservations needed). Entry to the museum is free for members.
