The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS), originally headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, has its 45th operating temple located near the La Jolla community in San Diego. Like other LDS churches, it was built with two spires that have made a statement by rising up to 52m’s and can be seen from afar. But what sets this church apart is the four smaller spires at the base of each main spire. The church is spread over a massive 72,000 square feet. As is common with the LDS churches, an Angel Moroni statue is topped off on the east spire. The west spire is adorned with a massive stained-glass wall.
