Glossa village or High Village is located on a hill 300 m from the Loutraki Port in Northwestern Skopelos. Glossa is the second-largest settlement on the island. The location of the village provides a stunning view of the Aegean Sea and the port, which gives it the name - the Balcony of the Aegean. The village has narrow streets with very low traffic and a few bars and restaurants.
The Folklore Museum which portrays the history and culture of Glossa is a worthwhile visit. The Monastery of Agios Taxiarchis is another popular attraction. Regular buses run from Skopelos town to Glossa. It can also be accessed via a ferry from nearby islands.
