Vandeperiyar is a quaint, little town in Idukki District, Kerala, 18km from Thekkady. At an altitude of 2743ft. above sea level, this hilly town has been a delight for travellers who enjoy exploring plantations and spice farms. Despite the commercial activity, with greenery engulfing a traveller, Vandeperiyar has found a way to take you back to nature. The plantations are an ecosystem of their own - nourishing flora and fauna as the neighbouring forests do.

This tea factory in Vandiperiyar is one of the largest and most popular tea factories in Kerala. 2. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
