Bridge of sighs, Venice Overview

Near St. Mark's Square and a romantic spot, the Bridge of Sighs is a beautiful old bridge connecting the new prison to the interrogation rooms in Doge Palace. This bridge offered prisoners their last view of freedom before their last judgement.

Now it is a place to take a great photograph if you're in Venice and couples can often be seen taking pictures there and drawing sighs much like the prisoners of yore.
