Arlington, Virginia

Arlington is a county located in Virginia. It is known primarily for being a hub for defence and military complexes, with the most famous of them all being the Pentagon.

The county is bordered by the Potomac River, giving visitors waterfront access as well as stunning views of the neighbouring areas. The county has been made famous by the Arlington National Cemetery, the resting place of over 400.000 soldiers over 3 centuries. The cemetery is home to a number of commemorative memorials honoring various branches of the armed forces as well as the Kennedy family memorial. If you visit the cemetery, make sure to attend the change of guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a truly captivating experience.
