Itinerary
Explore Istanbul on a tour to this amazing city's top highlights, including the Beylerbeyi Palace and featuring a cruise along the Bosphorus. Our tour begins with a visit to the Spice Bazaar, located in the city's Fatih disctrict. During the Ottoman period, Egyptian Exports used to sell here, which is why this covered marketplace is also known as the Egyptian Market. Look around for delicious food, local jewelry, and other souvenirs to bring back with you. From there, we'll board a ship and embark on our Bosphorus cruise. The Bosphorus is a narrow, navigable Strait between Europe and Asia connecting the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea. Rumeli and Anadolu Fortresses are located at the narrowest point of Bosphorus, and there are various magnificent Ottoman palaces and beautiful mosques along the shoreline. Take in views of two continents from your vantage point on the water. Our next will be the Beylerbeyi Palace, designed by the architect Sarkis Balyan and constructed between 1861 and 1865 for Abdulaziz. The exterior decoration was adopted rom European Neo-Classicism but the interior was completed in the traditional Ottoman style. This palace was used both as a summer lodge and as a residence for visiting royalty. Finally, we will reach Camlica Hill, one of the seven famous hills in Istanbul. At 267 meters (875 feet) above sea level, this is the highest point in the Istanbul region. A small tea house in the midst of the pine grove gives this peak its name. Once at the top of the hill, you will be amazed by marvelous views of Bosphorus. Take your chance to discover Istanbul's amazing architecture and rich history.
