Istanbul: Full Day Old City Tour with Transfer & Lunch

Your Old City Tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel by your driver and guide. The tour includes visits to some of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks. First, you will visit the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque). Here, you can admire its magnificent architecture, intricate tilework, and the grandeur of its interior while learning about its historical significance as one of Istanbul's most significant landmarks. Next, you will see Ayasofya-i Kebir Cami-i Serifi (Hagia Sophia) from the outside. This world heritage mosque boasts fascinating architecture and a rich history that has endured for centuries. Following this, you will explore the Topkapi Palace, a grand palace that served as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire for 400 years and was the residence of the Ottoman sultans. The tour will then take you to Sultanahmet Square, where you can marvel at several important historical structures. These include the German Fountain, a beautiful gazebo-style fountain given to the Ottoman Sultan by the German Emperor; the Serpent Column, an ancient bronze column originally from the Temple of Apollo at Delphi; and the Obelisk of Theodosius, an ancient Egyptian obelisk re-erected in Istanbul by the Roman Emperor Theodosius. A delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant during the tour Afterwards, you will visit the Grand Bazaar, the largest and one of the oldest covered bazaars in the world, featuring approximately 4,000 shops. Here, you will have the opportunity to shop for legendary Turkish delight, famous leather goods, and traditional Turkish handmade carpets. After the tour concludes, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
