Itinerary
Experience the essence of Istanbul on a morning tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Begin your journey with a visit to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, and end with a shopping adventure at the Grand Bazaar. Start your tour with a convenient hotel pickup and head to Sultanahmet, the heart of the "Old City" where both the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires once ruled. Your first stop is the Hagia Sophia, the awe-inspiring Church of Divine Wisdom, originally built as a basilica in the 6th century and renowned for its stunning architecture. Next, visit the Blue Mosque, famed for its magnificent blue İznik tiles and distinguished by its six minarets, an honor given to Sultan Ahmet’s namesake structure. From there, continue to the Hippodrome, once the epicenter of the city's sports and political life. Marvel at the historic Serpentine Column, the Obelisk of Theodosius, and the German Fountain of Kaiser Wilhelm II, all prominent monuments that adorn the Hippodrome. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Grand Bazaar, the world’s largest and most vibrant market. Explore its labyrinthine alleys lined with over 4,000 shops offering everything from antiques and jewelry to carpets, leather goods, and souvenirs.
