Very good

Fanatastic Chilled Holiday in a Peaceful and Spacious Villa

We enjoyed the Villa and its location, it was very quiet and relaxed, The Villa and grounds are extremely spacious and evertyhing is generally wel kept clean and tidy. The Pool is amazing and the Villa is very well equipped for all aspects of your living needs and Harald is a superb host and communicator. Carvalho beach is very close (10 minute walk) and is lovely just note it is accessed by steep steps and through a cave so is not suitable for everyone.

I expected the Villa to be completely modern but parts of it are a little "old fashioned" this is of course subjective as my wife kind of liked this. I would also say the outdoor furniture whilst totally functional could be of better quality and our giant bed was actually just two best pushed together again subjective I was just dissapointed by this.

The perfect villa for a totally relaxing holiday! P

Casa Shambala proved to be wonderful accommodation for our family holiday (5 adults plus two children). It is very spacious, luxurious and has every facility we could possibly have asked for. The reality was even better than the pictures has suggested! Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the beds were super-comfy, the kitchen was brand new and really well equipped in every way. The generously-sized heated pool is a massive plus, and the grounds and surrounding area are both beautiful and very private. Harald was extremely helpful and gave us exactly the guidance and support needed both on arrival and during the stay. All this added up to a fabulous, relaxing stay, and we would definitely love to come back. We recommend 100%.

There was NOTHING we didn't like! Visitors should be aware that although there is plenty to see in the area on foot, a car is desirable to access a wide range of leisure and sightseeing options, access the many excellent restaurants in the area, and for airport transfer. Also, the closest beaches are spectacular but very rugged, so it would be wise to travel a little further to beaches with safer bathing, especially for families with children. Also it is important to check whether energy costs are included in the overall price, or whether they are charged in addition at the ebbs of your stay.

Lovely large clean villa. Fantastic outside space with beautiful grounds and pool.

If we were being very picky the outside furniture could be updated but everything was functional and its a really lovely villa in a fabulous location with beautiful walks nearby and restaurants within walking distance. Communication was excellent and the handover for the keys was easy and friendly. We had to pay extra for air conditioning but we knew that in advance. Assume 15 euros per night. Really recommend the villa.

Spotless vacation

The villa is wonderful, very spacious and comfortable, a five star accomodation. It has a well-equiped kitchen, a separate dining room and a cozy living room. Three huge bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and with wonderfully laid azulejo tiles. The villa is ground floor meaning that the airconditioning is not really needed. There are several exits to the pool around which the house is centred. The pool is from 1,4 -2,4 m deep, rather for teens and adults. The pool is in great condition, surrounded by trees and a wonderfully kept garden. Be prepared to get actively involved in keeping the pool cleaned from leaves, but it can not be otherwise hence there are lots of trees around and the poolmen will not come every day. There is another bathroom for when one is outside by the pool. And on top of the villa is the covered barbecue place, from where there is a panoramic view on the ocean. If it was not enough, you can reach a nice natural beach by walking in 10 mins, and you can reach the famous Benagil beach by walking 20-25 minutes going on the rocks and enjoying one of the best panoramas in Portugal. Or you can go to the village Carvoeiro where dozens of restaurants are waiting for you. There is a restaurant nearby (La Bella) but there was no noise from it. And last but not least: Harald who takes care of the villa is the perfect person to turn to in every question, he is very nice and helpful. Spotless vacation!
